Wedding Plan

Arrival Day - Tuesday 5th Aug

Expect to be picked up from Hoedspruit Airport by one of our friendly minions and driven to the game reserve to get settled in to your accommodation. We'll have a relaxed afternoon before a chilled sunset dinner to get everyone mixing and mingling.

For those of you adding something on before the wedding in this region, we will still have you meet us at Hoedspruit airport. You can either drop your rental car off at the airport, or your accommodation will likely include an airport transfer.

Meet and Greet - Wednesday 6th Aug

A morning to just enjoy the reserve and everything it has to offer. There will be game drives on offer, trips to the watering hole hide and riverside yoga.

We then have a very special evening planned at Koru Camp which is also located on Mvuu Game Reserve. We'll have some speeches from the great crew behind Koru Camp where you can learn all about what the charity is all about and there will also be a performance from an incredible local group.

Wedding Day - Thursday 7th Aug

Free morning to yourselves which can be taken up with any number of activities. We'll have game drives leaving from the main camp, we'll also have yoga on the lawn or you can choose to lounge by the pool and save your energy for the festivities later on. Get ready during the heat of the day before the vehicles leave for the ceremony location around 2:30.

The wedding will be at 3pm down by the riverside. We'll have a few drinks and canapés after the event in the idyllic location, then head back to the lodge for the wedding reception and more importantly, the dance floor.

Recovery Day - Friday 8th Aug

Similar to the Wednesday, except add slightly more Panadol and electrolytes and a little less joy and enthusiasm.

We'll have a group dinner in the evening and here we will all say our goodbyes to each other. Anyone joining for the buddy moon will be leaving very early the next morning. They'll also all convene for a briefing to explain what the next day's activities will consist of with a busy day collecting the cars and stocking them up before the adventure begins.

CYA - Saturday 9th Aug

Our African celebrations sadly come to an end. For those not joining on the buddy moon we'll arrange transfers back to Hoedspruit airport. From here you can fly to anywhere Africa has to offer or alternatively your next plans in the area can pick you up from here.

For those continuing on with the Buddymoon, today we'll collect our cars, do our initial supermarket and drinks shop before heading north and into the Kruger National Park for the first night's stop.
